Mom wanted to document these sweet little girls’ first day of school. First grade for Kelsey and kindergarten for Kendall, which meant her very first time on the bus. I got to the house about 20 minutes before the bus arrived. It was a flurry of water bottle filling, teeth brushing, braiding and shoe tying. Grandma and Grandpa were there to see the girls off as well. And then OUTSIDE to wait for the bus. Mom had a little something special she snuck into each of the girl’s backpacks. I’m sure it was a great surprise! There’s just something about the very first day…the excitement of seeing your friends again, of meeting new friends, new beginnings, and our babies getting older.
