The final month for our 10 on 10 (on the 15th) project! That went INCREDIBLY fast!
I have absolutely LOVED this project. I got to know some super talented photographers that I have known for awhile a little bit better. I got to see my kids grow over the year. I was crazy busy with JPP this year, so it was nice to have a dedicated day to set aside to simply photograph the boys. I’m planning on making a book for them with the images from each day of the month. But my favorite thing? It has totally reaffirmed my love for lifestyle photography. THIS is how I want to look back at their childhood. Yeah, I like the smile for the camera pictures just fine, but they don’t show me how Jackson looked doing his homework. Or how The Finney’s hair looked bananas after waking up from a nap. Or Christian’s face as he talked to Grandma on the phone. I love seeing all their little toys and messes and how it MAKES our house a home. How Biscuit has his perch at the front door. The three of them just doing their thing. This year went by in a flash. I am so thankful for this project and that it made me take the time to capture these fleeting moments.
We had a typical day on the 10th. It’s FREEZING here right now, so after I got the big kids from school we just hung out indoors doing homework, playing and relaxing.
It was pretty perfect.
